A 53-year-old Victorian man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Burnett Highway north of Booubyjan on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the incident, between Blairmore and Ban Ban Springs, at 3:34pm.
A police spokesperson said a Nissan Navara dual cab ute had been travelling northwards when the driver apparently lost control.
The vehicle ran off the highway and crashed into a tree.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
Traffic on the highway was blocked for several hours while first responders attended the incident.
