Applications have now opened for a string of educational bursaries being offered by the National Council of Women in Queensland.

The criteria required for each are explained on the NCWQ website

There are many bursaries to choose from; some are aimed at students, some at particular career specialities, and some at older women returning to the workforce.

There is a bursary which may be of interest to South Burnett applicants.

The $1000 David Littleproud Bursary is being offered to women in the Maranoa electorate.

This bursary is for a female student who is in her first year of tertiary studies

It recognises the difficulties experienced by country students wishing to pursue their education.

Applications for all the NCWQ the bursaries opened on March 21 and will close on May 4.

Applications must be completed online.

The Bursary presentations will be held on June 27 at the Women’s College, University of Queensland.
