Toowoomba detectives have charged a 62-year-old former Darling Downs Health employee with breach of privacy offences.
The Wilsonton Heights man, who was arrested on Saturday, has been charged with 23 counts of observations or recordings in breach of privacy.
He is due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on April 1.
A Queensland Health spokesperson confirmed the man was no longer employed by Darling Downs Health.
“Queensland Health and Darling Downs Health are fully co-operating with the Queensland Police Service investigation,” the spokesperson said.
“Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our staff, patients and visitors.
“Given this is an active police investigation, it would not be appropriate to comment further on specific details at this time.”
A police spokesperson said members of the public with information in relation to this matter should contact Toowoomba CIB or Policelink on 13-14-44.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal head-on smash which occurred near Esk on Saturday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said a 2016 Kia Cerato and a 2015 Toyota Kluger were travelling in opposite directions along Esk-Hampton Road when they collided about 3:05pm.
The Kia driver, a 26-year-old Beaudesert man, died at the scene.
The Toyota driver, a 55-year-old Esk man, was transported in a serious condition to Toowoomba Hospital.

A teenage bullrider suffered a serious leg injury during Saturday night’s Jandowae Show rodeo.
Emergency services were called to the showgrounds about 6:30pm.
The boy was transported by ambulance to Jandowae Hospital in a stable condition.
