The enthusiastic actors at the Nanango Theatre Company will be debuting their latest productions – four one-act plays – this Friday night!

The “Dramatic Beginnings” evening starts with a short play, “In The Blood“, written by Helen Wyngard and directed by Jenny Morgan.

This nail-biting drama is set in a women’s prison where a young reporter attempts to interview a serial killer.

This will be followed by three locally written plays:

  • When I was One” is a psychological drama about the voices in the mind that impact on our choices. It was written and directed by Margaret Jensen.
  • Good News, Bad News“, by Janet Jensen, is a country-based light drama which balances optimism and pessimism.
  • Whoops A Daisy“, by Annette McKeith, is a “dramedy” about farm life and the challenges it throws up. It examines the changes induced by motherhood and questions what animals are really thinking!

The Nanango Theatre Company’s Opera House is located on the corner of Elk and George streets.

The four plays will have a very short run.

Friday night’s presentation will begin at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm) and light refreshments will be available at the interval.
