Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has encouraged all eligible organisations to put forward their shovel-ready projects for the next round of the Games On! Grassroots Sporting Infrastructure Program.

Games On! aims to improve the quality and accessibility of sporting facilities, helping clubs grow and making it easier for Queenslanders to get active.
The program supports eligible organisations to deliver infrastructure improvements that will leave a lasting legacy for local communities.

Registrations of interest are now open for eligible organisations under two categories:

  • Games On! “Field of Play” – $20 million of available funds focusing on smaller, community-level infrastructure projects that enhance participation opportunities and upgrade amenities.
  • Games On! “Partnership Fund” – $10 million of available funds for new larger-scale infrastructure projects or upgraded and redeveloped precincts.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our local clubs to benefit from the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This is about creating Games legacy that directly benefits our region,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“It’s all about backing Queenslanders, from the volunteers who keep our local clubs running to the next generation embracing the benefits of participation.

“Participation grows when the right infrastructure is in place, and that’s exactly what the Games On! program is designed to deliver.”

  • Registrations of interest can be submitted online.  Applications close on March 18.
