A resident was injured while attempting to put out a vehicle fire in Kingaroy on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Candello Close just after 2:30pm.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire which was burning in a vehicle parked in a driveway.
A QAS spokesperson said one person was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after trying to extinguish the fire by themselves.
Earlier on Thursday, rural and urban fire crews were called to reports of a burning vehicle on a quiet road near Hodgleigh on Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Semgreens Road about 6:00am.
A QFD spokesperson said that when fire crews arrived, they found the vehicle had burnt itself out however the flames had sparked a grass fire in the immediate area.
The grassfire was extinguished by 6:15am although firefighters remained on the scene for another 30 minutes to ensure the area was safe.
Police attended the incident after reports the vehicle had been seen driving erratically earlier in the area.
