Murgon detectives have charged two teenage boys as part of ongoing investigations into offences in the South Burnett.

Police will allege the boys, aged 14 and 15, were involved in the theft of a 2023 Mazda CX3 from Moffatdale on December 8 and a 2021 Nissan XTrail from a Shelton Street address in Murgon on December 2.

Police will further allege the 15-year-old boy was also involved in the theft of a 2020 LDV T60 from Bjelke-Petersen Dam on December 16.

A 15-year-old Cherbourg boy has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle and one count each of armed robbery and stealing.

He is due to appear in Murgon Children’s Court on January 6.

A 14-year-old Cherbourg boy has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear in Murgon Children’s Court on March 10.

A police spokesperson said police executed two search warrants at addresses in Cherbourg on December 18 and allegedly located a quantity of cannabis and drug utensils.

A 24-year-old Cherbourg man was issued a drug diversion in relation to possessing utensils and failING to dispose of a needle or syringe.

A 30-year-old Cherbourg woman was issued a drug diversion in relation to possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils.

Investigations are continuing.
