The Plymouth Brethren’s Rapid Relief Team helped South Burnett SES volunteers celebrate their recent 50th anniversary at the Nanango SES shed.

The evening, held on November 24, attracted SES members from across the South Burnett region.

The Rapid Relief Team volunteers served up hamburgers, refreshments and cake.

RRT spokesperson Ralph Collett said the night had provided a meaningful opportunity to honour and recognise SES volunteers for their dedication and service to the community.

“It’s a privilege for our team to support the South Burnett awards night and show our appreciation for the SES,” he said.

“We’re especially grateful for the dedication of first responders who consistently put their community first, often in the toughest circumstances.

“Being able to serve a meal is our small way of saying thank you for everything they do.”

Queensland’s State Emergency Service was founded in 1975 and now has more than 5000 volunteers operating across the State.

The Rapid Relief Team is the charitable arm of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church,.

It aims to support frontline emergency services by providing food, donations and other resources, as well as hosting events for the community.
