A former Mondure farmer whose conviction for rape was overturned on appeal will not face a new trial.

Wayne Robert Green was found guilty in May last year of raping a British backpacker and procuring a sexual act by threat or intimidation.

However, an Appeals Court later overturned the conviction.

On November 3, the charges were formally dismissed in Kingaroy District Court.

Mr Green has always denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty at his trial.
