Police have charged a 17-year-old girl following an investigation into a wounding incident in the Kumbia area on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson said that about 3:30pm, police received reports that a 50-year-old man had received a serious cut to his arm and had been taken to Kingaroy Hospital.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a 17-year-old girl with an injury to her thumb.
She was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
The man and the girl are known to each other.
A 17-year-old girl has been charged with one count of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
She is due to appear in Kingaroy Children’s Court on September 29.
Investigations are continuing.
