Kingaroy company Favier Building Industries has been awarded the tender for South Burnett CTC’s $3.96 million Youth Park redevelopment.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October.
This project has received dollar-for-dollar funding from the Federal Government’s “Growing Regions Program” with both parties contributing $1.98 million.
“We are proud to partner with a trusted local company for this project,” South Burnett CTC CEO Jason Erbacher said.
“This is more than just a construction project, it’s an investment in our people, our economy, and our community’s future.”
CTC says the project aims to create a welcoming, purpose-built space that reflects the needs of the community, offering privacy and dignity.
Favier Building Industries director Gary Favier said his company was honoured to be selected as the contractor.
“(This is) a wonderful initiative that will create safe, inspiring spaces for those in need,” Mr Favier said.
“We’re committed to delivering quality construction that reflects the pride and values of the South Burnett region, and we look forward to working closely with local stakeholders to bring their vision to life.”
The project has also been supported by the Tarong Community Partnership Fund.
