The Kingaroy-Memerambi RSL Sub-Branch handed over a cheque for $2500 on Thursday as a “thank you” to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Two members of the Sub-Branch Executive have been assisted by the RFDS over the years so the group was eager to help.
The funds were raised through Sub-Branch activities, including raffles and the sale of memorabilia.
RFDS Queensland manager for community engagement Stuart Bonnett accepted the cheque at the Kingaroy RSL Club.
Sub-Branch secretary Steve Reynolds said this was the first time a donation had been made to the RFDS but the group hoped to do it again next year.
Mr Bonnett said the RFDS operates nine bases across Queensland.
