Kingaroy solicitor Paul Laurentiussen had a dream come true recently when he flew solo in a glider at the Kingaroy Soaring Club.
Paul has been a member of the club for less than a year.
He was sent solo by volunteer instructor Greg Schmidt, who has more than 20,000 flying hours experience and volunteers his time as a club instructor.
“Paul will now progress to learning the principles of cross-country soaring so he can enjoy the great soaring conditions in the Kingaroy area,” Greg said.
“He joins a large number of locals who use the great facilities at the Kingaroy Soaring Club.”
