Division 6 councillor Ros Heit will take over the role as Deputy Mayor of the South Burnett Regional Council on August 3.
The appointment was confirmed at Wednesday’s general meeting of council which followed the Budget meeting.
Cr Heit will replace Division 1 councillor Jane Erkens who served in the role from December 4 after taking over from Division 3 councillor Danita Potter.
The changes are in line with the eight-month rotational model decided at the start of the current Council term.
At the time, Mayor Duff said the rotation program was part of building a team which supported each other and worked together, avoiding problems which had developed in previous Councils.
The rotational order discussed at the start of the term was: Cr Danita Potter, Cr Jane Erkens, Cr Ros Heit, Cr Deb Dennien, Cr Linda Little and Cr Heath Sander.
