A special NAIDOC rugby league day will be hosted by the Cherbourg Hornets on Saturday at Jack O’Chin Oval featuring an All Stars challenge between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous South Burnett A Grade players.

The Indigenous All Stars team is: Keith Gadd (Hornets), Killian Klease (Red Ants), Chris Bond (Red Ants), Dom Sandow (Hornets), Sonny Weazel (Mustangs), George Fisher (Hornets), Jaydon Tewes-Smallwood (Mustangs), Jesse Button (Mustangs), Patrick Alberts (Hornets), Anthony Gray (Hornets), Michael Kenefacke (Wolves), Ryan Jacobs (Mustangs), Buddy Stanely (Mustangs), Jermaine Harrison (Wolves), Preston Mosby (Hornets), Lloyd Langton (Hornets), Darryle Ugle (Mustangs), Ken Gyemore (Hornets) and Elwyn Fewquandie (Hornets).

The Non-Indigenous All Stars team is: Torren Anderton (Wolves), Aidan Cavanough (Red Ants), Cory Ward (Wolves), Mitchell Bailey (Red Ants), Cory Neal (Red Ants), Connor Sullivan (Red Ants), Sam Davis (Mustangs), Asofono Lemalu (Red Ants), Lochlan Price (Red Ants), Cody Simmons (Hornets), Josh Scott (Wolves), Karl Freeman (Red Ants), Iona Varomusu (Red Ants), Andy Champney (Red Ants), Alex  Pomfret (Red Ants), Jasper Miller (Red Ants), Jarome Fituafe (Wolves) and Taniele Faingaa (Wolves).

At 1:40pm, the Cherbourg Hornets’ women’s team will take on Across The Waves.

This will be followed by the official opening and a performance by the Wakka Wakka Dancers before the All Stars game kicks off at 3:00pm.

Special guests on the day will include former NRL players Willie Tonga, Tyrone Roberts, Zeb Taia and Esi Tonga.

The only other South Burnett rugby league players expected to be in action this weekend are the South Burnett Under 19s Eagles who are scheduled to play Gatton and Gatton Saturday.
