Primary Industries Minister Tony Perrett will be the guest speaker at an LNP policy forum to be held in Kingaroy next month.
The 2nd LNP Primary Industries Policy Forum will be held on July 12 at the Kingaroy Town Hall.
During the first session, Minister Perrett will address the Forum and take questions from the floor.
During the second session, a Q&A panel will discuss “Future Challenges and Opportunities Facing Queensland’s Livestock Industries”.
The panellists will be:
- Bryce Camm – CEO of Camm Agricultural Group and former chair of Beef Australia and the Australian Lot Feeders Association
- Dr Jodi Courtice – Veterinarian with a specialty in the egg industry and biosecurity matters
- Scott Kompo-Harms – Economist and deputy chief executive of the Australian Live Exporters Council
- Kathy Duff – South Burnett Regional Council Mayor and beef producer
- Ross McInnes – Director of Dairy Farmers Milk Co-operative, member of the Australian Dairy Industry Sustainability Framework and Scenic Rim dairy farmer
- Stephen Tully – Former AgForce Sheep & Wool president and Quilpie grazier
- Don Chandler – Senior partner LGT Crestone Wealth Management and councillor on the Royal National Agricultural & Industrial Association (RNA).
The chair of the State Parliamentary Committee on Primary Industries, Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett, will also be in attendance.
The Kingaroy policy forum follows a similar successful event held in Toowoomba in 2023.
