Police have charged a teenage boy following the theft of a Toyota Corolla from Goomeri on June 4.
It is alleged sometime between 10:00pm and 3:45am, a the car was stolen from a May Street property.
The vehicle was located on Old Wondai Road at Cherbourg the next day after it had been extensively damaged by fire.
A 15-year-old Murgon boy has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
He was due to appear in Kingaroy Children’s Court on Wednesday.
Police are also investigating the attempted break-in of a motor vehicle at Moffatdale on June 5.
About 7:00pm, unknown offenders attempted to break into a vehicle parked in a driveway of a Fork Hill Road property but were unsuccessful and left a short time later.
Investigations are continuing.
