A 48-year-old Goomeri man was killed in a head-on collision on the Bunya Highway at Manyung on Friday morning
A police spokesperson said a Mazda 121 and an LDV dual-cab ute collided near Holznagel Road about 5:00am.
Initial investigations indicated the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when they collided.
The Goomeri resident, who was the sole occupant of Mazda, died at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the LDV, a 25-year-old man, was transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with head, arm and pelvic injuries.
The highway was closed while emergency services were on the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the collision.
