Applications have opened for a special Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) round offering funding of up to $15,000.
RADF is a joint grants program funded by Arts Queensland and local councils.
The South Burnett Regional Council hopes the latest round will encourage projects that take will take arts, culture and heritage “to the people”, broadening exposure to residents who would not normally get involved.
“This region has a very long history of promoting the arts, culture and heritage,” Cr Danita Potter said.
“We have some amazing museums, art galleries, cultural events and heritage facilities for visitors and the community to enjoy.
“We are looking for enthusiastic groups or people to get out and get people doing something they wouldn’t normally do.”
The SBRC has encouraged anyone with a great idea for a project to get in touch.
The RADF guidelines on Council’s website list the criteria for eligible projects, and the individuals or groups which can apply.
The grant will be competitive and applications will be evaluated against the criteria in the objectives of the program.
Applicants are encouraged contact Council’s RADF Liaison Officer before submitting an application.
Applications close on May 31, 2025.
