The winners of Murgon’s inaugural Anzac Day art competition were announced at a special morning tea on Saturday morning.

The competition was organised by the 55 Million Years Ago museum and art gallery and sponsored by the Murgon Services Club.

The winning artist – who took home a cheque for $300 – was Greenview artist Robyn Dower with her work “In Their Honour”.

In second place was Hivesville artist Shannus O’Sullivan with “The Dugout At Lone Pine”; with Mundubbera’s Sue Lederhose in third with “Remember Them”.

The entries will remain on display in the gallery until June 11.
