Seven people – including six teenagers – have been charged after a vehicle stolen from Wondai was involved in a traffic crash at Kallangur on Friday.
Police will allege the white Nissan X-Trail was travelling on the wrong side of the road when it collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Anzac Avenue and Anzac Avenue Service Road about 10:50am.
The occupants of the Nissan X-Trail, one adult and five children, left the scene but were taken into custody a short time later at Kallangur Railway Station.
The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured.
The Nissan was stolen between 3:00pm and 11:00pm on Thursday from a property in Cadell Street.
Five teenagers are due to appear in Pine Rivers Children’s Court on April 28:
- A 14-year-old Murgon boy charged with enter dwelling and commit, possessing dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle in company, enter dwelling with intent by break, and attempted enter dwelling with intent.
- A 15-year-old Cherbourg boy charged with enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle in company, enter dwelling with intent by break, and attempted enter dwelling with intent.
- A 14-year-old Cherbourg girl charged with enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, and unlawful use of motor vehicle in company.
- A 16-year-old Cherbourg boy charged with enter premises and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, and unlawful use of motor vehicle in company.
- A 16-year-old Cherbourg boy charged with enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, and unlawful use of motor vehicle in company.
A 16-year-old Cherbourg boy has been charged with enter dwelling with intent by break, attempted enter dwelling with intent, enter premises and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, and unauthorised use of a motor vehicle in company. He was due to face Brisbane Children’s Court on Saturday.
A 19-year-old Cherbourg man was charged with two counts of attempted enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of receiving tainted property, enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle in company, and attempted enter premises with intent to commit indicatable offence.
He is due to face Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 16.
