A “Changemaker Workshop” for community leaders – and would-be leaders – is being held in Kingaroy on April 29-30.

The two-day workshop aims to appeal to individuals who want to play an active role in the local region and contribute to positive change.

Organisers say it aims to foster self awareness, community engagement, resilience, leadership skills, and the ability to create positive change while considering diverse perspectives and community wellbeing.

“The Australian Rural Leadership Foundation is dedicated to building thriving rural, regional and remote communities. Over the past three years, we have run leadership programs in over 25 communities across the country building local leadership capacity and networks to bring new understanding, perspective and skills to move forward,” ARLF chief executive Matt Linnegar said.

The Changemaker Workshop is being delivered by the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal in partnership with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation and Red Earth Community Foundation and has been fully subsidised.
