Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club hosted its first home games in the Darling Downs Community Football competition last Saturday night in Kingaroy.

Fans showed up to watch the history-making games, cheering as the Kingaroy Division 1 team defeated Chinchilla Bears 5-0 in their Round 4 game.

Earlier in the night, the Kingaroy Division 2 team had less luck in their Round 3 game, going down 2-0 against Highfields.

It was actually the first time the Division 2 Kingaroy team had been in action this season as both their Round 1 and Round 2 games were disrupted by the weather.

These have now been rescheduled for later in the season.

Weather has also disrupted the Kingaroy Division 1’s campaign.

They locked in a 2-all draw on March 1 against West Wanderers in Toowoomba, but their Round 2 and Round 3 games have had to be rescheduled.

Both Kingaroy teams were due to hit the road this weekend, but their scheduled games at Highfields and Toowoomba have again been postponed due to the weather.

Spectators gathered along the verandah of the Kingaroy clubhouse to watch the games
