There’s going to be a murder committed in Nanango next month … and Nanango Theatre Company would like you to come along and witness it!

The group will be staging a very limited run of Agatha Christie’s classic whodunnit, “The Mousetrap”, at their playhouse on the corner of George and Elk streets.

“The Mousetrap” is probably the world’s most famous modern play.

Its London run began in 1952 and continued uninterrupted until it was temporarily taken out by the COVID-19 pandemic. It hit the stage again in 2021 and is still being performed.

More than 10 million people have seen it London … and now there’s an opportunity for South Burnett folk to find out what all the fuss has been about!

Nanango Theatre Company is inviting residents to come along, gather the clues and try to solve the crime (but no spoiler alerts, please).

There will be six performances:

  • Friday, April 4 – 7:00pm
  • Saturday, April 5 – 2:00pm and 7:00pm
  • Friday, April 11 – 7:00pm
  • Saturday, April 12 – 2:00pm and 7:00pm

The cast has been rehearsing twice weekly since mid-January and are keen to get the audience guessing … whodunnit?

  • Tickets can be booked online
