A 43-year-old man charged after a fatal road crash at Booie more than four years ago will be sentenced on May 6.
Curtis Dale Hayden pleaded guilty in the Kingaroy District Court on Monday to dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.
Ronald Wise, 76, from Wattle Camp, died at the scene after Hayden’s vehicle collided with Mr Wise’s Toyota sedan at the intersection of Redmans Road and Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road on December 18, 2020.
The Toyota then crashed into a tree.
Hayden, who is currently in custody on other charges related to an alleged incident at Booie on February 6, will appear in Maroochydore District Court on May 6.
