The National Australia Bank – which operates a branch in Kingaroy – has promised it will not close any rural or regional branches until at least July 31, 2027.
An NAB spokesperson made the promise on Tuesday.
“While digital banking continues to evolve, we firmly believe that face-to-face banking services remain essential for many Australians,” spokesperson Ana Marinkovic said.
The spokesperson said the company had also reached a new in-principle agreement with Australia Post to continue to support Bank@Post services.
