Toowoomba Regional Council has invited applications for its latest round of Community Economic Development grants.

Cr Edwina Farquhar said eligible community or not-for-profit organisations were welcome to apply for funding.

Applications must be lodged online by March 1.

Cr Farquhar said communities were encouraged to submit ideas for eligible projects that would deliver economic benefits to their towns.

“These grants are intended to assist our regional communities leverage their strengths,” Cr Farquhar said.

“Eligible community organisations, which would typically include Chambers of Commerce and Progress Associations, are encouraged to apply.”

Eligible applicants should discuss their ideas before beginning their submissions by calling 13-18-72 to book a consultation with TRC staff.

The competitive review process means not all projects will be fully funded.
