Fire crews at Kingaroy’s Glendon Street toilets on Monday afternoon

November 18, 2024

Vandals have set a fire in the Kingaroy’s Glendon Street toilet block … again.

Two fire trucks, an ambulance and police were called to the incident about 4:30pm on Monday.

The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

This is the fourth fire in a Council-own toilet block in recent weeks.

Vandals have recently lit fires in public toilet blocks in Butter Factory Park at Nanango and Wooroolin (which belong to the South Burnett Regional Council) and in Toowoomba Council’s toilet block in Yarraman Recreation Park.

In July, the parenting room at the Glendon Street facility was closed for several days after a fire was lit inside.
