Artist Frida Forsberg will be unveiling 20 new paintings inspired by the spectacular flora and fauna of the Bunya Mountains at a free open air art exhibition on November 23-24.

Frida had hoped the exhibition could be held within a community space in the Bunya Mountains but as there was nothing big enough to accommodate her collection, a large marquee has been hired and will be erected in the grounds of the Bunya Mountains Accommodation Centre.

“This is the perfect outcome,” Frida said.

“The mountains themselves have become our gallery, and being outdoors with the forest and wildlife close by brings the exhibition to life in a way no indoor space could.”

The “Art of the Forest” exhibition will also feature works by the South Burnett’s own Niketa Law and other local artists.

It will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the Saturday (November 23), and 9:00am to 4:00pm on the Sunday (November 24). Entry is free,
