A 27-year-old man has been charged after a Kingaroy man was allegedly assaulted in Brisbane on Monday.
Police will allege the incident occurred just before 3:00pm as the Kingaroy man and a woman were walking through Anzac Square, where Remembrance Day commemorations had been held earlier in the day.
The 27-year-old allegedly assaulted the man before running off towards Ann Street.
The 51-year-old Kingaroy man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, police arrested a 27-year-old Forest Lake man nearby.
He has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 3.

Vandals have caused more damage to Council-owned infrastructure around the region over the past few days.
A fire was lit in the public conveniences at Wooroolin on Friday night, badly damaging the men’s toilet.
Vandals also damaged a barbecue area and other infrastructure in Pioneer Park at the weekend.
Last week, the South Burnett Regional Council announced the public toilets in Butter Factory Park, Nanango, had been temporarily closed due to vandalism.
