Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington used to be a familiar face in South Burnett courthouses in her role as a solicitor, but she now has a new job description when she drops by.
Mrs Frecklington visited the Kingaroy Courthouse recently in her role as Queensland Attorney-General, Minister for Justice and Minister for Integrity.
It was her first official visit to a courthouse since she was sworn in to her new positions.
Mrs Frecklington said it was an important opportunity to head back to Kingaroy and talk to staff.
“The Kingaroy Courthouse is a vital part of our local justice system and as Attorney-General, I’m committed to ensuring all communities like ours have access to fair, transparent, and efficient justice,” she said.
“It was also a very special moment for me, having spent so much time at the Kingaroy Courthouse as a local solicitor, to be able to head home and show my support and appreciation to the courthouse staff.
“I look forward to working together with all our local courthouses to build a stronger, safer Queensland.”
