A proposal to create a community-based in-home aged care system in Wondai – modelled on similar programs already operating in Yarraman, Kilkivan and Bell – will be discussed at three consultation sessions on Friday.
The “Wondai Cares” system would be run in partnership with Mable and Trilogy Care as a community-managed program, with jobs created in the local community.
The community consultations will be held at the The Studio (at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery) at 10:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm.
They will be led by Brad Grieve, from Mable.
Organisers are hoping to attract community members, tradespeople, handymen, volunteers and older people with aged care packages to attend.
