A special high tea and cent auction held in Kingaroy on Saturday afternoon has raised almost $4000 towards the painting of the historic St Mary’s Catholic Church building.
The wooden building, in Albert Street, received a much-needed makeover earlier this year, but parishioners are now working hard to raise funds to pay off the loan which made the project possible.
St Mary’s Parish Hall was packed for the high tea which also featured a prettiest cup and saucer competition and a tea towel display.
