The Kingaroy RSPCA is reminding people that donations made next Thursday (October 3) will double their impact due to dollar-matching by sponsors.

The annual “Give to Get them Home” appeal aims to support more than 1100 surrendered, homeless or abused animals at RSPCA shelters across the State.

Sponsors Royal Canin, Bravecto and Peter Alexander have joined with corporate partners TIMG, Clare May Real Estate, H Design and Clearspan to match donations made on October 3 dollar-for-dollar.

Last financial year, 4928 animals were surrendered to the RSPCA in Queensland.

“Simple things like medication, electricity and rescue vehicle costs rising means we need to raise more funds to continue to care for animals that need our help,” RSPCA Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Anne Chester said.

“We rely on the generosity of our community to provide the essential care and lifesaving treatment these animals require; every contribution, no matter the size, matters.”

Donations can be made online … but remember, only donations made on October 3 will be doubled!
