National Police Remembrance Day will be marked in the South Burnett on Friday (September 27) with a non-denominational service at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Albert Street, Kingaroy.
Police Remembrance Day is traditionally held on September 29 every year however as this date falls on a Sunday this year, commemorations have been brought forward.
The annual event rotates around the South Burnett every year, held in different towns and venues.
National Police Remembrance Day is a day to honour the officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.
South Burnett Police have invited members of the public to attend the local service which will begin at 9:00am.
