Smoke warnings were still in place on Tuesday afternoon for three fires which were burning on Monday around the South Burnett region.

Fire crews were called to a large grassfire burning near Ironpot Road at Ironpot just after 1:30pm on Monday.
At the peak of the blaze, crews from 13 rural brigades were in action.
A QFD spokesperson said no buildings were under threat.
An “avoid smoke” advice warning was issued for this fire at 2:29pm.
The fire was reported to be safe and contained just after 6:30pm, with firies mopping up any hotspots.
Fire crews returned just before 9:30am on Tuesday to check the fireground, and left the area in the hands of the landowner.

About 12:30pm on Monday, firefighters were called to a large blaze burning near Schumachers Gap Road and the Burnett Highway at Wyalla.
At 1:30pm, an “avoid smoke” advice warning was issued.
A QFD spokesperson said that at 3:30pm, up to 60ha was burning with the fire heading towards inaccessible country, with seven rural fire crews in action.
Aerial support was called in to map the fire’s progress.
More crews were then brought in to assist with back-burning but no structures were under threat.
By 6:30pm, all crews had left the fireground but firefighters returned about 11:00am on Tuesday to conduct more backburning.
Heavy machinery was also being brought in to cut firebreaks.
At 2:30pm on Tuesday, eight fire vehicles were at the incident.

A fire which broke out near Garskes Road and East Cooyar Road, at Cooyar, on Friday, sprang back into life at the weekend with rural fire crews called back on both Saturday and Sunday.
About midday on Monday an “avoid smoke” advice warning was issued for this fire, which was renewed at 2:14pm on Tuesday.
Firefighters were patrolling the area.
Just before 3:00pm on Tuesday, another fire broke out near Palms Road and the New England Highway at Cooyar.
NB. There is a total fire ban in place in the Toowoomba Regional Council area until at least 11:59pm on Wednesday (September 25).
