Toowoomba Regional Council has created a new page on its website which lists all its planned 2024-25 capital works.
Mayor Geoff McDonald said the initiative was important to increase the community’s trust in Council’s decision-making.
“In recent months we have amended our financial reporting and continue to look at further ways we can improve the way we present information to our community,” Cr McDonald said.
“By putting our full capital works projects online, residents will be able to access updated information on the projects as they happen in their neighbourhood and see how their money is being spent.”
The webpage lists region-wide projects as well as projects specific to certain towns.
Local projects include work at Swinging Bridge Park in Cooyar and re-painting the SES building in Yarraman.
