South Burnett Regional Council is calling for nominations for the 2025 South Burnett Australia Day Awards.
“The awards celebrate the community’s opportunity to recognise outstanding groups and individuals who have shown remarkable dedication and hard work to enhance the quality of life for our region,” Mayor Kathy Duff said.
2025 Awards are open in the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Junior Cultural Award
- Senior Cultural Award
- Junior Sportsperson
- Senior Sportsperson/Sports Administrator/Coach/Official Award
- Volunteer Community Organisation/Event of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Local Achiever Awards (Town & Rural)
Nominations close at 4:30pm on November 8, 2024.
The official awards ceremony will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall on Saturday, January 25.
