FLASHBACK: Kaitlyn Barber, from Proston P-10 School, with “Porky” at last year’s Blackbutt Show

South Burnett teenagers have taken out the top two places at the prestigious QCAS Stud Beef Young Parader competition at the Ekka.

Kaitlyn Barber, from Proston, was named champion while Jak Livingstone, from Nanango, was runner-up.

Kaitlyn, 17, was representing the Darling Downs Sub-Chamber (after success at the Bell Show); while Jak, 16, was representing the South Burnett Sub-Chamber (Nanango Show winner) in the competition.

In third Place was Amber McLucas, from the West Moreton and Brisbane Valley Sub-Chamber (Esk Show winner).

The competition was judged by Graham Brown, from Sylvan Springs Droughtmasters at Windera.
