Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar are through to the semi-finals in the beach volleyball at the Paris Olympics.
The pair recorded a 2-1 victory over Swiss pair Zoé Vergé-Dépré and Esmée Böbner on Wednesday morning.
The win (21-19, 16-21, 15-12) was hard fought, with the Aussies clawing back after the Swiss – who were unbeaten in earlier rounds – took an early lead.
The Aussies will now face either Brazil or Latvia in a semi-final.
The date and time for this match are yet to be announced.
UPDATE: Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar will be playing Brazil’s Ana Patricia Silva Ramos and Eduarda “Duda” Santos Lisboa in the semi-final on Friday morning.
