South Burnett Saints women starred in the club’s trek to Toowoomba on Saturday, downing South Toowoomba Bombers by an impressive margin.
Saints women were ahead 5.10-40 to 1.3-9 when the full-time siren sounded.
Goals were kicked by Alexandria Alifrangis (2), Kayley Collins (2) and Kiara Wright.
The men’s and Under 14s teams were would have gone home less happy, with the Bombers proving too strong:
- Men – Bombers 10.9-69 def. Saints 4.6-30
- Under 14s – Bombers 24.11-68 def. Saints 1.2-8
This weekend, the Saints are scheduled to host their last home game for the season on Saturday at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.
The men’s and women’s teams will be facing the Goondiwindi Hawks.
