The bill for recent vandalism of public amenities in Kingaroy is now more than $300,000, according to Deputy Mayor Danita Potter.

Cr Potter said the latest incident occurred early on Thursday, when a fire was lit inside the parenting room in the South Burnett Regional Council’s Glendon Street toilet block.

Firefighters were called to the incident at 5:28am.

CCTV is believed to have caught images of the offenders.

The Glendon Street incident follows a fire lit in a toilet block in Memorial Park about 6:10pm on Tuesday, and other incidents in Memorial Park last Friday and Monday.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with two counts of wilful damage in relation to incidents at Memorial Park on June 30 and July 19.
