South Burnett Saints’ women’s team shone on the club’s annual Ladies Day at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on Saturday.

The Saints scored a four-goal win over visitors Coolaroo on their big day, which was a fundraiser for the Cancer Council’s pink ribbon campaign.

On the field, the women finished ahead 5.8-38 to 1.1-7, with Ellie-Mae Dodt (2), Aleisha Collins, Kayley Collins and Tameka Swifte kicking six-pointers.

Off the field, their supporters enjoyed hot and cold platters, drinks, a Fashions of the Field competition and live entertainment.

The Saints’ men weren’t so lucky, suffering a narrow loss to Coolaroo, 13.11-89 to 10.5-65, after leading at the end of the first change.

Saints goal kickers were Fletcher Brown (3), Bailey Joyce (2), Ben Pressnell, Brad Pressnell, Clinton Brown, Nathan Trace and Ned O’Connor.

In Under 14s, Saints took home the points after Coolaroo forfeited.

This weekend the Saints men and women will be heading to Goondiwindi to take on Hawks teams. The Under 14s have a bye.
