Three people were killed in a collision between a B-Double truck and a car at Nanango on Thursday morning.

The car’s three occupants – an 81-year-old woman, her 84-year-old husband and their 54-year-old son – died at the scene.

The couple are believed to be Kingaroy residents.

The truck driver, a man aged 52, was taken in a stable condition to Kingaroy Hospital with lacerations.

Emergency services were called to the corner of the D’Aguilar Highway and Nanango-Tarong Road about 5:45am.

At 10:00am, the highway was still closed with police urging motorists to avoid the area.

Police have urged anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact PoliceLink on 131-444.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the collision.

This is the same intersection where four teenagers were injured, one critically, when their allegedly stolen vehicle crashed on May 7.
