Slightly more than 900 beasts were yarded in Murgon on Tuesday for the last sale of May.
Export cattle eased back in price depending on quality and weight, but better quality weaner steers were fairly firm and lesser quality calves were easier.
The market for weaner heifers is still very tough, but prices for feeder types remained firm.
Cattle for the sale were drawn from Mundubbera, Gayndah, Mt Perry, Blackbutt, Nanango, Kingaroy, Kilkivan, Glen Echo, Kia Ora and the Murgon district.
