A Brooklands man charged over the death of a jogger near Nanango in September 2022 faced a fresh charge in Nanango Magistrates Court on Monday.
Walter Evan McBryde, 52, was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm over an unrelated incident which allegedly occurred in the Nanango CBD in February this year.
The matter was adjourned to July 15 for further mention in Nanango Magistrates Court.
Bail was continued.
Last October, McBryde was committed to face trial in the District Court in Kingaroy, at a date to be fixed, on a charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.
The charge related to the death of Bryce Williams, 33, who was struck by a passing vehicle on Nanango-Brooklands Road, near Oliver Road, about 6:30pm on September 6, 2022.
