Are you – or do you know – an up-and-coming young muso looking to make a career in the industry?
Then Nanango’s Commercial Hotel wants to hear from you ASAP.
The pub has organised “The Next Gen Of Music” competition which features great prizes for the winner – including $3000 cash – as well as opportunities to kickstart their career.
Well-known Kingaroy musician Rob Fitz-Herbert will be one of the judges and mentors.
“It’s not only a competition,” he told southburnett.com.au
“It’s also an opportunity for people to get some constructive feedback about their performances.”
Participants must be aged between 16-25 and not have an agent or recording deal in place.
They must submit an audition video, and if selected will also play a live audition at the pub on a Sunday afternoon.
The winner will receive $3000 cash to be used on career-related items, a $1500 studio recording deal, $500 photo shoot and a full live production performance at the “Livin’ Live Festival” at the Commercial Hotel on August 31.
Applications must be received before 10:00pm on May 12.
