Small business owners in the South Burnett have been invited to take advantage of a visit to Kingaroy by representatives from the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT).

DESBT will be hosting a Kingaroy Business HUB at the KCCI’s office in Kingaroy Street on dates in March, April and May.

A spokesperson said DESBT could help both people starting out in business and well-established businesses.

Services offered include:

  • Free mentoring and business support services
  • Access to grants and financial assistance information
  • “Back to Work” Support payments of up to $20,000 for eligible employers who hire eligible unemployed Queenslanders (ask about the range of free short courses that support businesses to recruit and retain employees)
  • Referrals to other Government agencies including the Queensland Small Business Commissioner advocacy and support service
  • Information on upcoming business events, seminars, and forums
  • Subsidised training and incentives, including apprenticeships and traineeship information
  • Opportunities to supply to the State Government

The Kingaroy Business HUB will be open on March 19, April 23 and May 28.
