A 38-year-old Nanango man has been charged over an incident in September last year which left a man with serious head injuries.

Police will allege the Nanango man, who was arrested on Wednesday, was part of a trio who forced their way into a home in Coochin Avenue, Narangba, about 11:55am on September 25.

A 58-year-old man at the residence was assaulted during the incident, suffering serious head injuries which required a two-week stay in hospital.

The Nanango man has been charged with:

  • Acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm
  • Enter dwelling with intent
  • Robbery in company
  • Deprivation of liberty
  • Evade police
  • Unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and
  • Three counts of possession of dangerous drug (methylamphetamine, diazepam and cannabis)

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on March 6.

On February 8, police charged a 29-year-old Deception Bay man over the same incident.

He was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent, robbery in company and deprivation of liberty.

He was also remanded in custody and is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on March 25.

Investigations are continuing in relation to the third person believed to be involved.

Earlier, detectives released an image (above) and video (below) of vehicles which may be connected to the incident.
