The dodgems were a big hit at the Cherbourg Christmas Fair on Tuesday

December 13, 2023

There was plenty of food and fun to enjoy at Cherbourg’s annual Christmas Fair, held at the town’s Sports Complex on Tuesday.

And Santa Claus even paid a visit!

There were gifts for the children, stalls and games and a free barbecue lunch.

But probably the biggest hit on the day were the amusement rides.

There were long queues of young children waiting for each of the carnival rides to open up after lunch.

The fair was sponsored by Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council, South Burnett CTC, Stanwell, St Vinnies, the Salvation Army and Bribie Island Kindy.

Cherbourg Council is also working hard to help ensure local families have a happy Christmas this year by delivering a free ham this week to every household in the Cherbourg community.
